We hope you enjoy our site. The Boca Raton Community Middle School band has a tremendous history of excellence. BMS opened in 1969 under the musical direction of the late Mr. William Bowen. Since then, BMS has had some of the finest directors in South Florida including: Mat James, Cherie James, Ken Johnson, William Castillo, Rhea Epstein, Barbara Madness and Keith Baker. Since 1997 the band has been under the direction of Michael Fraley.

Through the years BMS has consistently earned Superior ratings at Festivals and Performances. The band has performed in Washington, D.C. and for the past 13 years performed at Disney World’s Magic Music Days and Universal Studios Orlando STARS program. The band program is a source of great pride in our A rated school and we thank our Principal, Mr. Jack Thompson for all of his support.
